Snubbr

Snubbr is an opinionated shopping site:

Users post questions (“What are the top 3 Bluetooth headphones, and why?”), and Snubbr forwards the questions on to so–called experts, who respond with their recommendations. The answers are generally well–written, and Snubbr links to sites like Amazon so you can buy directly from the site.

So, what makes an expert? Snubbr looks at online authority — factors like the number of blog readers or Twitter followers someone has — and sends questions their way. The system is mostly automated, although they do some manual interventions from time to time. I’d like some more detail on how this works, and maybe a list of experts, but for now, their description seems reasonable.

Snubbr’s layout is very light and easy to read, and it’s nice and responsive. There’s not that much content yet, but the wonderful thing is that if someone hasn’t asked a question yet, you can ask it yourself. The more people stumble into this site and start poking around, the better it will be, and that seems like a pretty good recipe for success.
