BlipSnips wants your videos to get to the good bits:
BlipSnips is offering up a friendly user interface for linking to particular sections of YouTube and Vimeo videos online. You can add as many links as you want, and the just show up in a list under the video, where you can jump to them, copy a direct link for sharing, or “Like” on Facebook. You can even embed your BlipSnips video into your web site, links and all. It’s quite slick.
The interface works very well: I’ll admit to being a bit stunned when I first signed up, but that might be due to my lack of coffee this morning. Within a few minutes, I was proficient at tagging clips. It’s a snap to add bookmark (a blip? a snip?!) to a video, and easy to edit them later.
This is functionality that could easily be built into YouTube and Vimeo directly (and I hope that works out well for BlipSnips), but for now, BlipSnips is offering a slick solution, tailor made for video links in tweets, blog entries, and status updates. Follow them at @BlipSnips.
