Wedoist wants to bring game mechanics to project management:

Wedoist is a light-weight project management app with some game-like features to motivate you to engage with it: there are badges you can earn for completing a certain number of tasks, for example, and there’s a delightful chart of daily progress on all pages. When I’m using Wedoist, I want that chart to go up and to the right, and if I’m feeling unmotivated, looking back at previous successful days will make me push on through. I love it.

The layout is easy on the eyes and simple to understand, but doesn’t have much personality. I certainly prefer clean UIs over complex one, but I do think Wedoist could benefit from a bit of design love — the monochromatic colour scheme is a bit bleak.

I think that figuring out a way to market the game aspects is going to be key to the success of this site, but I do believe it has potential. It’s certainly not suitable for large projects with lots of dependencies to track, and I don’t think it would scale past the size of a small team, but for folks who fit the bill, I can see this working well.
